Death Fourteen: DEATH IS NOT HAPPY

[After seeing the town decide to treat death so lightly, making a game of it in fact, Death was not pleased.

And then he learned even better news. And now he's doing something he knows is a bad idea.

Thinking things over.

Mayfield have a phone call. And a voice just appearing in your head when you pick up the phone.]

DO YOU EVER WONDER WHY THINGS HAPPEN, THE WAY THEY DO?

I DON'T THINK I'LL EVER REALLY UNDERSTAND LIFE.

[A brief pause. Less...contemplative tone.]

ALSO, I NOTICED THE SCHOOL WAS CLOSED. DOES THAT MEAN I NO LONGER HAVE A JOB? OR DO THEY ASSIGN THE TEACHERS NEW ONES IN THE SUMMER?

[Action: And of course you can find him in few places.

A. Walking through the park, a tall skeletal man, with a black cloak, scythe ......and a kitten on his shoulder.

B. At the library, minus the cat this time. The scythe is leaning against a book shelf as he looks through the books.

C. At the door of 726 Anderson Lane]
