ANKH-MORPORK. 

THERE ARE MANY LEGENDS SURROUNDING THE FOUNDING OF THE CITY OF COURSE. ACCORDING TO SOME, THE FIRST CITY WAS BUILT BY TWO BROTHERS WHO WERE RAISED BY HIPPOPOTAMUS. ANOTHER LEGEND SUGGEST THAT MANY CENTURIES AGO THE DISC WAS FLOODED. AN ARK WAS CONTRUCTED, CONTAINING TWO OF EVERY ANIMAL. WHEN THE ACCUMULATED DUNG OF FORTY DAYS AND NIGHTS WAS DROPPED OVER THE SIDE, THEY CALLED IT ANKH-MORPORK.

HOWEVER, IN REALITY IT WAS A SMALL CITY BUILT TO SURROUND THE TOWER OF ART AT THE UNSEEN UNIVERSITY.
